The company owner and president, Mario Silva, was born in Michoacán, Mexico. He came to the US at the age of 16 in pursuit of the “American Dream.” He joined the Satake Nursery team at the age of 18, and after 26 years in the business, he took the next step, he opened Coyote Valley Nursery, when the Satake Nursery closed. Mario hired former Satake employees from both the Morgan Hill and Mountain View locations, and together they produce some of the finest plants available to the wholesale trade.
